[12:28] Josephine Delvalle: Q: I look at the summer picture and I like it. Why do we now more easily value images that express dark feelings/situations/drama as art? Done

[12:29] Duraya: that is a great question, anyone feels like Josephine does and has an idea about it?

[12:33] DaneAlbion: its an interesting point and something i’d agree with, i’ve no answer as to why it is but i’ve noticed before how humour for example is seen as a frivolous emotion in relation to art. How many comedians do we consider to be great artists, however much we enjoy their work? Done

[12:34] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): Perhaps because these more easily stir our most hidden feelings? It’s not easy to write about it.. needs a lot of time and talk. Done

[12:35] Duraya: I think it triggers deeper emotions, you may be right and I agree, it’s almost philosophical and that needs time.

[12:36] Moonsoul Kiyori: I was going to say what Once said. It appeals more to our emotions for some reason. done

[12:39] ᴀᴇɢᴇᴀɴ (cooltang.flow): People can forget why they laughed at something after a while, but they cannot easily forget when they cries and feels sad about something, other thing avatar face expressions looks weird when you wanna make happy pics and i don’t like it, maybe it’s good for only blog pics and/or AD pics plus maybe most of us (who makes dark pics) living more bad times than happy times in our lives. Done

[12:41] Josephine Delvalle: In earlier times, comedy was a fine art. Laughter opened the minds of the audience and gave access to other/new perspectives. And to draw a link to visual art: the Impressionists conveyed light, air, color, lightness. Done

(ava.darkheart): I agree with Aegean on what he said and I wanted add that “L’artist maudit” the fact that people in deep and dark mood are more creative, probably because they try to get their spirit out of them, for some relief… but also, to not forget, we realise and enjoy happiness only in comparison of pain… so with no darkness, no shiny feeling either. Light need shadow and vice et versa. Done

[12:46] onceagain (manoji.yachvili): By the way I think that the greater artist is the one that makes people laugh or simply smile and give a moment of peace and relief from the hard daily life. Done

[12:50] ᴍʌᴛᴛ (matthsuogan): i think, different individuals are drawn to different forms of art based on their personal experiences, tastes and emotional responses the value of art lies in it ability the thoughts, evoke emotions and create meaningful connections, regardless of the specific themes or styles and art should be appreciated in all it varied forms. Done

[12:54] Duraya: I think I am a rather balanced person but darker moods make me create more and express myself, to release that energy, the other moods I enjoy and turning them into art can be hard work.
